Sheila Sumuel Trotty is the Case Manager at Rockdale Regional Juvenile Justice Center. She is an honor graduate of Rockdale High School and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX earning a B.S. degree in Integrated Social Sciences with an emphasis in Sociology. She attended graduate school at the former East Texas State University in Commerce where she worked as a graduate assistant in the Mach III Special Services department while pursuing a M.S. degree in Sociology and Special Education. Mrs. Trotty worked at Jarvis Christian College for over ten years, serving as a financial aid officer, Student Support Services math specialist, Upward Bound teacher and Upward Bound counselor/coordinator. She also taught high school Social Studies for three years at Hawkins ISD. Prior to becoming RRJJC’s Case Manager, Sheila worked as a Case Manager for Correctional Services Corporation providing services to youth under the jurisdiction of the Texas Youth Commission. She became a certified Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer for the 20th -82nd Judicial District (Falls, Milam and Robertson counties) and served as the probation/parole officer for Milam County youth and was assigned as the school officer for Rockdale ISD.
