Psychological, Substance Abuse and Forensic Evaluations

Probation agencies and presiding courts may also request comprehensive clinical psychological evaluations, substance abuse assessments, or forensic (“fitness to proceed’) evaluations through the RRJJC Therapy Department.

Our staff have ample experience in administering and conducting either form of evaluation and are well trained in multiple testing instruments such as (but not limited to the) following:

Jesness (personality) Inventory (for adolescents)
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV)
Wide Range Achievement Test 4 (WRAT-4)
Woodcock Johnson Achievement Test
Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test (KBIT)
Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI)
Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
Rorschach Inkblot Projective Personality Test

You may be assured that our clinical evaluations will provide you with an accurate psychological profile of your client and provide you with an appropriate placement or dispositional recommendation driven by sound empirical and psychometric supported rationale.

Substance Abuse Assessments include a full chemical dependency evaluative profile with supportive psychological data and are aligned with specified criterion from the APA Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV).

Conversely, our forensic evaluations directly and concisely address all relevant judicial matters requested, and specifically detail the adolescent’s ability to comprehend and assist in judicial proceedings (i.e. fitness to proceed). You may also be assured that our staff whenever necessary will conduct additional psychometric testing to assure validity and accuracy of all forensic findings.
